The fact is that manufacturers overseas really don't understand the FMVSS requirements like manufacturers in the USA do. For example, some of the belts that are sold from China say "DOT Approved." The Department of Transportation (DOT) regulates tire manufacturing, not seat belts.

This kit converts your original seat belts into safer 3-point retractable lap and shoulder belts for the 1971-1974 Mopar, Bodies A, B, and E. Includes Metal "Starburst" Push Button Latch and your choice of 5 original Mopar colors. Please note, all shoulder sashes are made with black 7 panel webbing and covered with a black plastic sleeve, regardless of belt color. These seat belts will not fit convertible cars.
